My name is Claire Stott and I have a freelance photography business called Grey Feather Photography. Although born in Burton on Trent, England I now live in the beautiful coastal town of Aberystwyth in Wales with my husband, dog and our three cats. I surround myself with nature and get out taking photographs at every opportunity. 

​I’m entirely self-taught and have developed my unique style over many years of trying to achieve the perfect shot. My images are generally bold and bright, capturing the beautiful colours to be found in the natural world, from the vivid iridescent green feathers of a mallard duck to the icy blue tones of a frosty winter morning.

​My favourite quote from artist Vincent Van Gogh is very much my ethos for photography – ‘If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere’. My aim is to prove that you don’t have to venture to far flung, exotic places to find that next great photo and I love discovering the hidden corners and little known stories on my own urban doorstep.
