Glasu Iard yr Ysgol
Ysgol Gymraeg Aberystwyth has teamed up with the Glasu Iard yr Ysgol (Greening Playgrounds) Campaign to raise money to make the outdoor spaces at school more wildlife friendly, and to educate the children about the nature crises in Wales.
Whether you are a parent at the school or a member of the community, we would love you to contribute! When you make financial contributions to the school right here, you are rewarded with discounts from participating shops and businesses.

How does it work?
Each term participating schools are provided with the Glasu Iard yr Ysgol newsletter called BuzzaBAZOO! which is written to educate pupils, and the wider community about issues facing local wildlife, and what we can all do to help. Parents can use the links provided within the newsletter to make financial contributions to your child's school. A proportion of the money that you contribute helps pay for the newsletter and the rest is used to green-up the school's outdoor spaces, and make them more wildlife friendly. You may already have seen one of these publications which is why you are here now?
Download the latest BuzzaBAZOO! and opt in to receive each edition by email.
How do I use my discounts?
You can make a financial contribution using the form below. When you do, we will create an account and reward you with Local Credits to an equivalent value to the contribution that you made. (Read more about how the local credit system works here.) Once you have some credits, you can log in to the website at any time and use them. You can use your credits to obtain a growing range of discounted products from participating stores, including gift vouchers, money-off coupons, and 'Buy now' products.
Please take a look at the Offers page to find out more about the participating businesses.
Thank you for your contributions!

Have fun saving the planet!
Greening Playgrounds is putting on a Bee Friendly fundraiser night at the Bank Vault in Aberystwyth on Friday March 22nd, to raise funds for the school, and to encourage local people to do more to help bees and other pollinator insects. Live music is to be provided by Aberystwyth heroes Misha and the Kings, with DJ Lady P on the decks. Tickets cost £10, with £5 raised for the school with every ticket sale.
