Bee Friendly Solstice Fundraiser
Thursday 20th June, 6.15pm - 10pm
@ The Bandstand, Aberystwyth Promenade
An evening of food, music, sunshine and sea
£5 or more per ticket
Tickets are "Pay-as-you-feel", with a minimum of £5.
The first £5 of your payment goes to a local wildlife project of your choosing and the Pay-as-you-feel portion helps cover the costs of the event.
Please note: the deadline for ordering food has past, and the tickets that are now available are for the entertainment only, starting at 7.30.
You're invited to our second Bee Friendly fundraiser event this summer solstice, which is bringing together people from different walks of life, to enjoy a shared meal provided by the Syrian Dinner Project, and imagine a brighter future for the planet. After dinner we have two guest speakers lined up: Rhodri Williams from Moelgolomen Farm, and Cath Peasley from Eco Hub Aber. Our speakers will offer inspiration by telling us how they're both organising to fight the combined climate and nature emergencies.
Following this we have a fantastic line up of acoustic musicians, who will entertain into the evening, as the solstice sun sets over the ocean, and it's light streams into the Bandstand. Our musical line-up so far is as follows:
- C the C - a 4 piece band playing original music, specialising in big harmonies and acoustic guitars
- The Monofloralz (aka The Eclectic Shed Experience) - a 3 piece acoustic project from around and about Llandeilo
- Louise and the Feathers - with her unique indie-folk style
- Jed Picksley - singer-songwriter and artist visiting permaculturist from Earthworm Housing Co-op in Herefordshire
- Dan Smith - solo guitarist will be providing background music during the meal
At the end of the evening, you can step out on to the Prom, enjoy an ice cream, or a beverage, and go for an evening stroll on the beach.
For every ticket that you buy, a £5 contribution will be made to a local wildlife project of your choosing, and in this way we hope to generate over £300 of funding.
Please note that the Bandstand does not allow alcohol, but we will be providing a range of hot and cold drinks throughout the evening included in the ticket price.
The event is being provided by TREEGENERATION in association with Emily Farr from Rewired Music.
